The terrier breeds are typically small, very active, wiry, and fearless dogs. Most of them were developed in England and Ireland. Originally the Terriers were bred to hunt rats and other vermin, rabbits and foxes, but today’s terrier breeds are mostly bred and kept as companion dogs.
