Miniature Bull Terrier
Miniature Bull Terriers are the small version of the Bull terrier and share many of the same traits.
Miniature Bull Terriers are bold and energetic, often with a stubborn, or at least determined streak. These dogs does best if they are well trained and need attention and affection from their owners, or they get destructive in their efforts to get the attention that they crave. The Miniature Bull Terriers need confident and assertive training in order to be even tempered and well mannered since many of them tend to be extreme in personality; either shy or dominating and possessive. If you have very little time to devote to your dog, the mini Bull Terrier might not be the one for you. They also have to be socialized to other pets, particularly cats, from an early age. However, a well trained Miniature Bull Terrier is smart, healthy, and very loyal to its owner.
Not Recommended as Guard Dog
Miniature Bull Terriers enjoy going on walks and exercising and can be very well trained. They don’t make good guard dogs as they tend to welcome rather than mistrust strangers; however, even they will let you know if something is wrong. They are fairly easy to groom with their close glossy coats. They don’t have as long a lifespan as other terriers, usually running eleven to fourteen years and they can have a number of health problems including kidney and liver issues. They are not the most attractive dogs, but they are definitely distinctive.
If you have the time and attention to pay to this dog, then you will find it to be an enjoyable and engaging pet to own.
